  • Produced for WCAI's Sonic IDs
(Part of a collaboration between Transom and Cowbird)

    Notes from Jay Allison

When WCAI signed on, Jim Sulzer on Nantucket went out and gathered a ton of Sonic IDs. Most of them still play in rotation on the station now, 15 years later. One of his best sources was Ruth Chapel Grieder who tells very short stories very well. She's a community resource and oral record memory-keeper on Tuckernuck. I love her voice. In this one, she uses her family's megaphone for verisimilitude.
