  • My family who lives in Mumbai decided to take me to a popular temple there. It was some 48 C outside. I was dehydrated by the time we got there and dreaded the decision of joining them. I didn't even feel like climbing up the stairs to see the temple and felt exhausted with the car ride. Than I saw these ladies. I pulled out my camera and shot this picture in amusement. They were sitting there talking to one another and not complaining at all. Made me realize to how grateful I was to even have an option to go home and chill in an air conditioning room if I wanted to but it also made me realize a little about human conditioning. I began to climb the stairs to see the beautiful temple while questioning myself , "what if I was born into poverty? what if I had no choice? how would I deal with my life? would I still be complaining?"
