  • “Promise me you’ll always be
    Happy by my side
I promise to sing to you
    When all the music dies”.
    Train

I dreamt he left me for a woman in ruby red slippers. In retrospect it all makes perfect sense. This past weekend I actually saw the infamous slippers at a museum and we even photographed my dear friend wearing the pair that was bestowed on her as a gift. Lighthearted the premise but the dream was so real that I awoke with a faint pain in my chest.
Is this representative of a new found insecurity at the dawn of my fifty-eighth year? I figured I could dwell on it or splatter on paper for the world to ponder.
Maybe tonight I will dream that I am dancing to a Cuban ballad wearing nothing but the ruby red slippers and I guarantee you that it is MY dream and therefore, I will look nothing short of grand!
