On the rooftop of LA Trade Tech, I sat on a bench waiting for friend to finish draping a knock off Erte. My tongue numb from the aftertaste of traffic. My eyes shunned the sunset. I focused on a grey, scrawny pigeon perched on the edge of the roof-one and a half amputated toes. It wasn’t enough the air had to be chewed, this razor sharp skyline cut and devoured! What, when, where angels was this city talking about? Suddenly, the pigeon cooed, spread her wings and flew.
