  • The prediction was for rain in the early afternoon. So the plan was to eat and get off the ship early to enjoy the tropical sun while it lasted.

Upon arrival in port, however, the forecast was for sunshine all day. So, we took our time, read and meditated in the ship's Rainforest Lounge (heated stone loungers, gentle saunas, scented steam rooms, mellow music), then made our way off the ship, bound for Serenity Bay.

I might rent a bike and tour the tiny Bahamian island (cay), like I usually do when we come here - or, I might just sit on the beach all day and soak up the serenity of the bay.

These are the difficult decisions I like to be faced with.

Do I feel guilty about enjoying such luxury and comfort? No, I don't think so. I believe that life was meant to be enjoyed when you can, and when the opportunity to enjoy it presents itself to me - I do. Every last moment of it. Unapologetically.

I don't want to miss a moment. Now, where was I? Oh, yeah - serenity. Wake me up when it's time for lunch. Maybe I'll ride the bike later.
