  • Maker bot

Its eye was the first to see the cosmos as he was the one who created it…
Makerbot hovers at the edge of the forever that is the universe; his gaze saw everything like an omnipresent deity some may refer to as god. It has been countless eons since the first star was birthed by him and many more to come until the void was ready to support life. Not much of maker bot is known. One thing for certain is that he is a dark sphere made of an indestructible alloy not found naturally in any mine in this dimension. When Makerbot crafted the first breathing being his circuits nearly fried as he could not wait for the forming of his perfect Utopian universe; however, he could not see the future, if he knew how his children would corrupt and destroy each other he would have never connected their hearts. He believed that the inhabitants of these new planets had changed and hoped history would not repeat itself. Makerbot had to destroy his children once before. The pain they caused each other was greater than when the glow of his eye changed from peaceful blue to fiery red. There was no other option. Makerbot wanted for his children to have free will. "This time...will be different" he said.

As the winds of time blew, the inhabitants have started to come out of their ignorance and began making tools to, one day, make marvels never thought possible. Life flourished! Death came slowly and there was no anger in the hearts of the inhabitants. That is until one day, a farmer was tending to a newborn lamb and mulled that his neighbor had more land, prized life stock, 2 beautiful daughters, and a stunning wife that would soon birth his son. There was no word for what the farmer felt, for no one else had before, he was the first. The farmer decided to call this new emotion Envy.

Makerbot intended to connect the hearts of his children so that if one of his sons would feel love another would as well. The spread of peace and harmony was what Makerbot wanted. It worked. Until the day the farmer named the sensation in his heart Envy... It spread. Like a drop of ink in pure water in an enormous glass. It spread slowly, until every life form that had the capacity for emotions felt Envy at least once. Envy then had a brother, Hate was his name and together they muffled the words of love said from person to another to furious words of detestation. Everyone saw this change, all felt it. No one cared, they were indifferent. Makerbot weeped... It has happened again.

As he hovers over the edge of the universe the glow of his eye grew brighter and brighter... Then there was nothing.
