  • She'd been thinking about intimacy
    the soul kind
    how courageous it is...
to step into a soul seeking intimacy with another human means walking eyes wide open into a commitment to honesty and forgiveness.
It is an agreement to create a safe place to stand naked together in the midst of all the chaos and pain we gather on this life path.
It is a willingness to reveal our wounds and imperfections.
A willingness to let our dark be seen and to see the darkness of our beloved.
It's a shining of light in our corners...the shadow places, where the wounds still bleed, where the walls we've built have become a prison.
Truth repressed is darkness, hides our light.
Fear of showing who we are becomes a cancer as negative emotions are allowed to fester and grow.
Fear of sharing who we are keeps the walls in place and prevents us from learning the lessons that move us to freedom.....
there needs to be deep love and acceptance, realizing that we are mostly the walking wounded looking for a safe place to lay our weary hearts, the journey to connectedness is not for the faint of heart.
Yet it seems to be what we all seek as we wander along roads less traveled.
Listening without judgement, speaking without fear is transforming and brave..
It's when our feelings are expressed with honesty and care, and then forgiven, that the healing can begin.
Stepping into intimacy is when we are willing to love deeply, our soul engaged, holding hands thru the dark, making our way togther to the light.
She knew the romantic notion of love was often fleeting.
She decided to seek a more authentic connection.
She yearned for a higher form of communication, one that comes from a deep place of love and compassion, a sacred practice
    ...a sacred trust.
Not a painless journey. It would be filled with missteps. But filled with joy too... It was all part of the journey back to Oneness.
She confessed then and there, to herself and to anyone listening, that she was just coming to a place of understanding...a novice..
    but she knew, she knew..
