  • Okay, so I have a lot of problems. But I'm getting to the heart of them. All my addictions and obsessions; my fandoms and lifestyles.

Perhaps it all started when I was meerly 3 months old. Practically just born, my parents brought me to the movie theater to see The Phantom Menace. It just evolved from there. Before I could speak, I'd pull myself onto entertainment systems, dancing and squealing the Imperial March, waiting for someone to turn Star Wars on. Eventually, my first words were "Star Wars" - or more accuratly "Tar Wahs". I had a natural hostility against Star Trek growing up obsessed with Wars. I'd never seen anything related to Star Trek - excpet for Galaxy Quest (side note: LOVE THAT MOVIE) - and I had this animosity for Trekkies. Then came the Abrams reboot of 2009. My dad took me to see it and I fell in love. At this point, I've seen every episode of TOS, TNG, The Movies, DS9 - even Voyager and The Animated Series. Yes, I am a Trekkie now. But my love for Star Wars defies all explanation.

I'm also the biggest comic book fanboy you'll ever meet. I grew up watching the X-Men and Spiderman cartoons, the Tim Burton Batman movies and Christopher Reed's Superman. To this day, I can recite every Marvel movie word for word. (except Spiderman 3 and Amazing Spiderman 2. Steer clear of these.) I know more about the Marvel universe than most people. And because of this, I've grown to love DC so much more. Yeah, I said it. DC is better than Marvel. Come at me bro. Batman could take on any Avenger and win. Sorry not sorry. Still though, smack talk Wolverine or Deadpool and I'll rip you to shreds.

My addictions don't end there. The Lord of the Rings (as well as ALL THREE Hobbit movies. And yes, I've read the books as well), Firefly, The Walking Dead (Series and Comics), Sherlock, The Office, Anime - the list goes on forever. Seriously, I need to stop. I'm a bigger geek than David in Wargames. Yes, I just went there. That's another thing: I'm OBSESSED with the 80's.

Everything about it: The Movies, The TV shows, the clothes and especially the music. Music is my life. The only thing equal to it on my list is Star Wars. I'll listen to anything 80's, most classic rock, a lot of 90's rock and pop and most modern day punk, rock and alternative bands. I could spend hours writing about Linkin Park or Green Day or Oingo Boingo or anything really. But I think I've boarded you enough at this point. I think it's extremely apparent that I need a life.
