  • He came into my life after a long absence. He had been lost on the streets without shelter or enough food.
After three long years away I thought that he was in Heaven but somehow he had found the path to home. I cannot imagine the challenges of his journey but his beautiful little soul found his way
I was lost inside myself without direction, without purpose, we had been lost in different ways.
He was hungry for food, for a roof over his ginger head, for hands to cuddle him at night for hands to make him feel safe during the day. He never slept at peace. He was always on guard against predators that could hurt him or steal the little he had. He had memories of a happy time and a happy place He did not know that human hands can be so cruel and can stop a perfect dream and it was easy to take him, such a trusting and loving little being, away from his home and made his owner cry silent tears for his loss.
I was hungry for love, for warmth. In my heart was an eternal winter where no roses ever bloomed. I had been punished for things I never did and for others I did in the madness of my mind.
We found each other and he knew when I embraced him that he had found home. He became my purpose, my mission and my love. Every day our bond of been lost for so long became stronger. The world disappeared and the people on it. Only his green eyes had any meaning for me.
Today he has little by little learned to trust again. A lesson easier for him, a lesson I will never learn.
You are safe my beautiful Aslam
You will never feel the cold of the winter freezing your fur.
You will always have a warm bed to rest in peace
You will have hands to hug you, hands to feed you for all the time you were away.
I am still lost but you are the golden anchor that keeps my life at bay.
Thanks my baby for taking away so many tears and putting a smile on my face.

The first picture is of Aslam when he found me after three years. The other one is what he looked like after a month of food and love.

For Aslam the most beautiful and gentle cat kidnapped three years ago but now back in my life.
