  • Dear Rachel

Mum and I have been gathering the lyrics of songs that I can sing when the accordionist comes in to play for us at Nazareth House Residential Home here in Edinburgh.

As you know, I love to sing which began when I was a choir boy at the Cathedral Church of St Mary's, Edinburgh in the 1930's.

When I heard the you were engaged to Chris, who comes from Tralee, it reminded me of the many times I have sung this song. So I asked Mum to find me the lyrics so that I could sing it for you. With the the wonderful technology that your Mum has on her phone she recorded a snippet of me singing it just for you:)

I dedicate it to you and to Chris and wish you well on the planning for your wedding next year.

    Lots of love

    Grandad Ian
