  • This tree is no longer there. The house right behind it will soon be gone, as well. It will be demolished in a day, and a mansion 3 times its size will be built in its place, taking up half of the back yard, and making our place, next door, look like its guest house.

    This is called progress.

    The upside, I suppose, is that our property value continues to escalate. For what it's worth.

    I miss this Japanese Maple, though.

    And, I'll miss Joe's old house.
