  • Everyday (5 days/week) for 5-6 years I have visited my local Starbucks coffee shop.

This isn't just about me being sleepy and needing a caffeine fix to get me through the day. I don't even need coffee. I'm a morning person. Always have been. My morning coffee is about my routine to sit, read, write and spend time with the Lord. If I don't get up, spend that $1.64 for my coffee, then I wouldn't have spent my time as intentionally as that.

The most rewarding and insightful times during these years have been from this table (this is the view from the seat I sit in).

This Lent I'm am fasting from this comfort in my life. For these 40-45 days I will have a new routine. This coffee shop is been a staple and comfort in my life. Sometimes there are good days, sometimes bad ones, but no matter what - My coffee has always been warm and the Lord is with me.
