  • She is a waterfalling symphony;
Water’s slow, fast, trickle, splash harmony,
    Conducted through a motionless river
Of motion filled drops sent to deliver
Kisses flowing over every square inch of
Me, shape-shifting like water moves like love,
Like love moves like raindrops to brooks to creeks
Through rivers to seas -- her love never sleeps.

She is coffee, the first sip of the day --
Smooth, sweet, hotter than hell; that is to say
She lingers on my tongue to remind me
That her soft lips are the lock-breaking key
To open my eyes and my soul to each
Sun rise, that we may learn love, we may teach
Peace, we may live to love together here.
Sipping our coffee, her love I endear.

She is a tree, branches stretching up high
Into the clouds, sending dreams to the sky
Where I, like a bird free from gravity,
Explore ever green peaks, to ever deep
Roots, sifting through soil for miles, miles
‘Neath slumbering forests, free from trials
And pains, like a lover in lover’s arms
Finds rest in forever, safe from life’s harms.

She’s the best line from my favorite poem,
The resolution to lost lovers’ woes,
The final rhymed couplet in the sonnet
Of life, where two souls together beget
Love, and love is enough to bring meaning
To words left alone on a page, breathing
Sounds like, “Forever, my love, forever,
May we never be other than together.”

She is the whisper of a dream, weaving
Through each beam of starlight, never leaving
But lingering like campfire smoke on
My favorite pair of blue jeans, beyond
    The mysterious motion of water
Falls, better than a sip of coffee or
A silent walk in the woods holding hands,
More beautiful than words from a poem, and
Longer than forever. In her I find
She’s all that is perfect in one soul combined.
