  • Ugh I'm already annoying myself at the thought of putting this tired metaphor together but it has been such a dry summer and then you left and Brooklyn hasn't stopped crying. I have. I'm more on top of it than I was a year ago today when you left the first time. I thought I might die. Okay, so I thought I might die on Saturday too but I asked Eliza and she said I probably wouldn't. She assured me that part of me had. She said that when we lose someone that sees us in a new way we lose the ability to see ourselves that way too. And so, we die a little.
