  • Yesterday I felt the burden (more weighty than ever before) of raising two daughters in this painful, messy, unjust world.

Yesterday I felt the hope (more substantive than ever before) in seeing my two daughters long for something more.

The film was hard to watch. We cried. We raged. We walked back to the car in the rain. We rode home in near-silence - accompanied by newly-compelled passion, an undeniable call to advocacy, and just enough rage to kick some ass.

Yesterday, two slightly put-out teenage girls left my home. Two crusaders returned - joined by a passionate (and pissed-off) mom who will fight to her dying breath (no matter the burden) to hold on to hope, to change the world.
