  • I sit on the train from Pennsylvania back to New York – a route I have traveled countless times over the past four years- and I think of you. In your faraway country, I don’t even know what time it is. I wonder if you are on a train too, back from a weekend vacation. I wonder if the weather is humid and muggy, like here. Are you traveling alone, too? Do you leave your sunglasses on the empty seat next to you – saving a seat for no one? I don’t suppose you have the same US Weekly where you are and I suppose you haven’t heard the news about Tom and Katie. It seems like they’ve split up. Scientology really ruins everything, doesn’t it?

I am writing these thoughts down on old ATM receipts and ticket stubs. I never seem to carry notebooks at the right times. Three continents and half a world away I wonder if you ever pick up a pen to write about me.
