And so he walked.

For many days and nights, he walked. Through the sunshine and the stars; the rain and the sleet; through the darkness and the brightness; he walked.

His hair turned grey and his eyes dim, but he walked. He saw not a soul he could rest with; no arms to take him in and embrace him; there was no pair of eyes that waited for him to come home; no love; no pain; just the eternal restlessness...so he walked.

He walked until, one day, he could walk no more.
