  • The angel was taken by vandals a couple of weeks before Mother’s Day. It was just yard art, more or less. No doubt, the thieves either sold it for drug money or gave it to their long-suffering mother as a heartfelt gift for everything she had done for them.

    They neither knew nor cared how important this little angel was to the mother who placed it there. Maybe it looked valuable, even though it wasn’t – at least in terms of money. They must have felt that the woman who lovingly worked that flower bed and placed a little angel in front, owed them something. So, they rationalized stealing it. In their perpetual angry state, it was just a payback for every real or imagined slight.

    The real little angel wasn’t around for very long either. Not nearly long enough. She misses them both, terribly.
