My name is Pietro Buzzanca.

I am an aspiring writer, brother, engineer, and life traveller. I was born on 12 December, 1986 in Roma, Lazio, Italy. I live in Paris, Île-de-France, France. I'm on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. You can also find me here. I’ve told 5 stories. I joined Cowbird on September 24, 2012.

“Pietro Buzzanca is a travel writer wannabe, part time blogger and waiter extraordinaire with an engineering degree he stubbornly deems surplus. In his numerous travels…”

Talking about me in third person makes me feel delusional. First person will have to do.

I am a son of the Italian eighties and a victim of the nineties. Between the eighties and now I smoked indecent quantities of pot in the narrow alleys of Rome, drank beer in my new found home in Ireland, Tamangos in African owned bars in Turin, homemade Rum with Cuban fisherman and plenty of water the days after that. I ate pizza in Madras, hamburgers at Grayhound stations, betel in Bali, and mushrooms in Amsterdam and they all turned out to be incredibly bad ideas. I fell in love with Italian ex-strippers, Colombian NYU students, Spanish nurses, and an array of girls that laughed in my face, especially when I asked them to marry mildly intoxicated me at 4 a.m. Different jobs worked me, the most serious one in Cape Town, where I was a wind energy consultant, but my waiting experience is far greater. While getting drunk, smoking cigarettes and rambling I conquered a mechanical engineering degree in Dublin under its infamous eternal rains.

Now that my debt to society is paid and some savings are in the bank I am planning to buy a new pair of shoes and go see the world.
