My name is Meg Taylor.

I am a chef, musician, and shapeshifter. I live in Los Angeles, California, USA. You can also find me here. I’ve told 13 stories. I joined Cowbird on March 11, 2012.

So much has changed. I can still tell you that I've loved the experience of sharing awesome food, wine and music, and dropped my work in post-production sound in order to pursue offering shared good food to myself and to other people, but the as-a-business part has become a set of shackles, like everything else - a method of paying the rent more than experiencing joy - but also a method of observing the nature of the humyn species. I still feel hopefully blind to all that sharing food, art and music could still mean, am still excited to awaken more fully to it, and am less guilt-ridden that I haven't taken it seriously enough. I'm also an activist/pariah/truth-seeker/thinker/do-er/writer/musician/performer, a bus rider and a bicyclist. I've lived in Los Angeles for almost 20 years, via Indianapolis, Western Massachusetts, New York, and Toronto. I want to leave this world having fought and won for others better than me to live as freely and beautifully as possible, as I still believe in the humyn pageantry, even with all of it's blood-curdling ugliness. There's a gut-wrenchingly long way to go to be organized enough for that.
